Before anyone, especially my mom, freaks out, today's post is about a co-worker's baby, not mine. Ok, now that the air has been cleared, let's check out today's project...
As I told you on a previous post, those adorable Lawn Fawn Hippo polka-dot note cards would be used again, and here it is:
I took the adorable Toy Lamb from Creative Vision Stamps, and stamped him with Basic Gray ink by SU! on brand new Pink Paislee Switchboard paper. I cut the paper out with a brand new Stitched Circle Stax Die-namic by MFT. I took a green Spica pend and colored in some parts of the lamb and "filled in" the stitches on the circle. It's a little hard to see, but I took a pink Spica pen and colored in the heart right above the rear leg from the Switchboard paper. I took my Stripes Stencil also from MFT and sprayed the note card with Lime Green Glimmer Mist by Tattered Angels. I cut the front edge with the Mini Scallop Edge Die-namic by MFT, which is a little hard to see in this photo.
I decorated the inside much like the outside:
You can see the scalloped edge better on this one. I stamped an old SU! greeting on the inside also in Basic Gray ink.
The color scheme of the card makes more sense when you see the crochet blanket that goes with it:
Unfortunately, this is the only photo I took of the blanket when it was just started to show the others the color scheme. Oops! I wasn't able to attend the shower at work that day, but rumor has it, she and her husband loved it, and hopefully the baby boy will also love it! And what is up with everyone having boys lately????
Have a great Monday, well as great as it can be!
