Happy Mothers' Day! I have been creating a bit, but I haven't shown my creations to you. I've been holding on to this card, because hopefully the recipients are my blog readers, or at least they should be! Here is my Mother's Day 2014 card:
I used modeling paste for the flower and colored it with NeoColor crayons and Gelatos. I did stamp the coordinating stamp with Gray ink, but it didn't go so well, because the modeling paste wasn't anywhere close to flat. It gave a little shadow look, though, so I'm pretty happy with it. The cards are at their destination, and they were well-received, so I'm calling it good!
I also did the inside of the card:
I colored stamps with FC Big Brush Pens, and then I colored a swirl stamp with NeoColor crayons and Gelatos spritzed with a bit of water. That swirl came out really great! I'm definitely doing that again!!! I found that I need to spritz the stamp first with water then color, otherwise, it comes out too watery. It's a totally different look that is still cool, but wasn't in line with what I wanted for this card. It would make a cool addition to an art journal page, though, so maybe you'll see that to come.
