I've Been Scrappin'

The mini VSBN was Saturday, and there's still time to get your projects in before the deadline, so get scrappin'!
I am a self-proclaimed lazy scrapper, but I like my stuff to look cool... what a dilemma!  Enter digital scrapbooking into my life, courtesy of Jessica Sprague, and I'm a happy camper!  Throw in pre-made templates and digital kits by ChrissyW, and I'm bouncing off the walls happy!
Here are two pages I did for the mini VSBN from a trip to Turks & Caicos.  The rest of the album will come for the main event this coming weekend, so stay tuned!  MY challenge, oh yes, I'm a VSBN hostess this go around, will be posted at 11:00AM CST Saturday... I think you're gonna like it!  If scrappin' isn't your game, The Stamping Boutique is hosting Digi Days on Paper Craft Planet, which begins at 1:00PM CST.  I will be jumping between the two events, and I'm SO excited!  Some of you have asked for the "Follow" button on my blog, and it is now posted on the right-hand side, so follow away!
In any event, here is the cover, and pages 3 & 4 of the Turks book.  Pages 1 & 2 are for my challenge, so you'll have to wait for those...

Secret Crafter

Today, The Stamping Boutique is sponsoring the Secret Crafter Saturday Challenge.  Wow - that's a mouthful!  Today's challenge is all about Hot Chocolate.  Since Princess Jessica Latte is pregnant, that MUST be hot chocolate in her latte cup, since pregnant women aren't supposed to have caffeine.  I follow it, don't you?? I used my NEW Basic Grey paper pack... LOVE IT!  Since I've taken to using so many manufacturers now, I've made a glossary on my side bar, so I didn't have to type so much :).

Today is a cold cold, snowy Monday, and unfortunately, I'm on my way to work. Oh well, gotta make the money to buy the stamps and such.  Today's card is a double challenge - Melissa's No Heart Valentine and Karen's Sweet Sunday Sketch.  I used one of Tracey's wonderful images for these challenges.  This will be the Valentine's Day card I send to my dad.  I had to make him one because my mom got her own, and I didn't want him to pout.  Hope your Monday is shaping up better than mine!

Catered Crop

How exciting is this??? The Stamping Boutique is the VERY FIRST sponsor of Catered Crop challenge FTR4.  This challenge is really fun... you use an image (OMG is this week's SUPER cute!), and then pick some of the elements to create your own.  I was trying to see how many things I could put in mine... yeah, I know, I'm a dork!  This card is pulling TRIPLE duty today: 1. It's for Catered Crop FTR4. 2. It's for Stacie's Red White and Pink challenge for Digi Days. 3. It's a retirement card for a co-worker.  I thought I would send her off with a bag full of love... it doesn't get sweeter (or cheesier) than that in my book!  The items I used from Jeanie's (so cute) card are: the layout, the scalloped circle/oval combo, Copics (of course!), a SUPER cute image, kraft, big puffy bow, stitching (hers is TONS better than mine, tho), and sponging with chalk inks.  I TOLD YOU I tried to put them all in there. Ok, enough yabbering, right, bring on the card!

VSN - 5 Alive!

This is the 5th challenge of the night for the Mini VSN on SCS.  Remember to scroll (way) down to start from the beginning.  This challenge was a fun one.  I, of course, had to give a little tongue-in-cheek action to the wording because, well, I just don't fussy cut.  This challenge is to use an entwined image, and my image was just touching, so I had to improvise... TWINE, baby, twine!  And you know what's up next... MY CHALLENGE!!!!

VSN Begins NOW

Tonight is the night of the VSN Mini on SCS.  The theme of this VSN is You Make My Heart Sing, and all challenges will tie back to that theme in some way.  Half the fun of the VSN challenges is reading the witty intro that the clever hostesses come up with to link their challenge with the theme.  Yours truly will be hostessing a challenge at 11:00PM EST, which luckily is only 10PM my time. *whew*  Be on the lookout for a new challenge each hour, beginning RIGHT NOW!  This first challenge will really get your blood pumping.  It's called Punch Your Heart Out, and it's a 4-part challenge - a sketch, a color, required supplies, and limited supplies.  Trust me, it's a great one!  Are you ready?????

Case Study

Today's card is for the Case Study Challenge that The Stamping Boutique is sponsoring, where we were supposed to use the card to below to find inspiration.

For my card, the circle really spoke me, so I went with that, and I loved the green, of course, so that found its way onto my card, as well.  The last element I took from the sample was the ribbon and button.  And look at that - I CUT again!  This image was pretty easy to cut, so it may happen again.  Don't forget about the Mini VSN tomorrow night and Digi Days on Saturday... see you there!

TE BFTP Blog Hop

Welcome to Taylored Expressions' Blast From the Past Blog Hop!  I'm so glad you could join us.  Today's hop is all about the LOVE!  Is anyone else hearing Elton John?  Can you feel the love tonight?  Ok, anyway... There are some really great cards lined up for you today, so sit back, relax, and let's get hopping! There is nothing I LOVE more than relaxing, having nothing to do, because, really, how often do we really have that?  I was so torn between the bubble bath Cuppie and the lounging on the chase with coffee Cuppie. In the end, I chose the bubble bath because there is no way I was getting one of those this morning as I sprinted out the house to work, but of course, I had coffee.
Ok, enough yabbering, on to the card!  Sankari gave us another fabulous sketch, and this time, I was about 90% in line.  Your next stop is Kreated by Kristie, and I'm sure she'll have something great for us today!

Sweet Sunday Tag

Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge # 100!!! WOW!! Of course I had to do something different for that, a routine card just would NOT cut it!  Enter the Wee Henry Hockey tag.  I'm not a big hockey fan, but living in the Chicago area, you have to know who the Blackhawks are, at least, or you'll get run out of town.  My good friend, who is a huge hockey fan, has a birthday coming up.  And of course, I had to rub it in a touch that her team did not win the Stanley Cup.  After all, what are friends for, right?  Anyway, on to the Sweet Sunday Tag...
