Challenge Birthday

I don't want you all to get spoiled by 3 posts a day... yes, there are 3 today, so scroll down if you haven't already to see some MDS creations. I needed a birthday card for a co-worker, so I decided to try two challenges I had never done before - Colour Q Challenge # 39 and Taylored Expressions Sketch Challenge # 118. Yes, I know you are completely shocked that I have never done a Taylor sketch... I always MEANT to, but never actually did. So, in the spirit of the crafting kick in the butt, I sat down and DID it! The white polka dotted panel and the blue circle are both popped with dimensionals, but you can't really tell in the photo. I think the rest is self-explanatory. Here it is...
Stamp Sets: Bitty Birthday
Ink: Night of Navy
Paper: Bravo Burgundy, Brocade Blue, Real Red Textured, Whisper White, Brocade Blue Prints DSP, Night of Navy Prints DSP, Real Red Prints DSP (oh how I love those hostess paper packs!!!)
Accessories: Real Real striped grosgrain ribbon; Bravo Burgundy, Brocade Blue, and Real Red Stampin' Write Markers, Stampin' Dimensionals
Punches: Ticket Corner, Corner Rounder, 1 3/8" Circle, 1 3/4" Circle
Big Shot: Perfect Polka Dots embossing folder

More MDS Projects

So here are few more MDS projects to share. The first one was the card I gave my father for Father's Day this year. The top 1/3 is white space, which doesn't really translate on a white background, but I think you get it. This was a designer template card that I just tweaked a touch and added the King of the Grill image (all digital!). I printed it, mounted it, and then mailed it. Too easy!
The next two use the same designer template card, but the end result is so different.

More to come....

A Few MDS Projects

Here are some of the My Digital Studio projects I have made over the past year I've been MIA. These projects go together SO fast, which is great, since I'm usually remembering to do them the morning I need them *yikes*. The first 2 were for Christmas.

These next two projects were for a tragic event where one of my co-workers passed away in April. That was a very sad time at the office. :(

This last project was a bag tag that I cut out and mounted on the scalloped chipboard that SU! offered in one of the mini catalogs - I so cannot keep those straight! I embellished it a touch, and it's hanging at my desk at work... I'll need to take a photo of the completed project to post here.
I have SO many more to share... oh bad me!

Where Has Michelle Been????

HELLO THERE!!!!!!!! SOOOO much has happened in the (over a) year since I have posted last. I have been doing a little crafting, but mainly just last-minute birthday cards, which I, of course, forget to take a picture of. Now that I can actually walk into my stamp room again, I have vowed to be a better blogger, or maybe just post more than once a year! I have been working crazy hours and STILL going to more and more doctor's appointments. Oh, and I COMPLETELY fell in love with My Digital Studio! OMG you HAVE TO HAVE this product!!!!!!!
Since I needed a swift kick in the butt to start crafting again, I decided to sign up for a swap on SCS (here). This month is birthday cards, which I am ALWAYS needing, so let's go! I also decided to do something WAY outside my comfort level - vintage. This is my first attempt at vintage, so be nice! Of course, I forgot to take a picture before I put them in the envelope to mail, so this one was my "reject". I embossed the sentiment in silver, and that just looked bad, so the others, I just used Silver Encore, and it looked a TON better.
Stamp Sets: Medallion BG, Occasional Quotes (New Catty!), Sanded BG, Tiny Tags
Ink: Chocolate Chip, Crumb Cake, Rich Razzleberry, Silver Encore
Paper: Crumb Cake, Regal Rose, Rich Razzleberry
Accessories: Very Vanilla Satin ribbon, Silver cord, Vanilla Shimmer Smooch Spritz, Air Art Tool, Chocolate Chip Stampin' Write Marker (I splattered the ribbon with this for a distressed look... hard to see), Stampin' Dimensionals
Punches: Eyelet Border, Jewelry Tag
Big Shot: Backgrounds 1 Texture Plate

My next creation is the invitation for our annual neighborhood block party. I used MDS - LOVE IT!!!

The last for today is a birthday card, of course, for a co-worker. I used MDS for the majority of the card, and then printed it and stamped the sentiment.
Stamp Sets: Well Scripted, Medallion BG Digital
Ink: Cherry Cobbler
Paper: Summertime Splendor, Vintage Overlays, Cherry Cobbler (card base)
Accessories: Half Pearls (in flower centers), Rhinestone (over "I" in birthday)
I need to figure out a template for posting MDS creations... something to think about today at work. :)
