2010 Photo Album - Week 1

I am CRAZY CRAZY CRAZY far behind on my scrapbooking. I think I have finally come to my senses and realized that I'm just plain, flat not going to do a traditional scrapbook. Splitcoaststampers has just begun (well, revived) a set of challenges for digiscrap items. The first challenge posted today to use distressed edges, so I took that as my kick in the butt to get my 2010 book done. My Digital Studio already has a "stamp" for that, and I downloaded an additional "stamp set" of Vintage Overlays that let me give the look of spray paint around the sides. When I saved the pic down to share, it doesn't look as splattered as it does in MDS. I also downloaded all the new colors - I chose Cherry Cobbler for the January dates, and Early Espresso for the text. The torn edge is done with Crumb Cake (formerly Kraft).
Here are the first pages of the 2010 Album that I will continue to work on each week. I need to catch up some weeks (like 27 weeks), but using the My Digital Studio photo layouts, made these two pages go together in a snap! I'm going to use one set of DSP per month, so even the background papers are picked out for me. Doesn't really get easier than that! For January, I have chosen Christmas Cocoa II DSP for the MANY snowflakes that graced us with their presence this winter.
Enjoy!
