You already know about Sale-A-Bration that's going on now, but in case you don't... For every $50 in product you purchase, you get one FREE set of stamps OR a set of rub-ons. The rub-ons are the ones I used in the Girl Scouts book below... SUPER CUTE, and they come in FOUR colors! You can check out all the fun details HERE on the Stampin' Up! website. But HURRY - it ends March 17!!!!
Along with Sale-A-Bration is an awesome recruiting promotion... join my team until March 17, and get 20% off the starter kit price AND a FREE stamp set of your choice from the Spring/Summer 2008 Collection OR the NEW Occasions mini catalog! For the whole story, check THIS out.
But wait - that's not all!!!!!!! Beginning March 1, you can purchase pre-cut Wild Wasabi textured card stock that make some VERY cut projects... check them out HERE. The pack includes 16 sheets of 4-1/2" x 11-1/2" Wild Wasabi textured card stock that has been scored at 1-1/8" and 5-5/8".

- Go to http://www.liasophia.com/sites/heididemarco
- Click on "Our Jewelry"
- Click on one of the catalogs (the Spring/Summer one is AWESOME!!!)
- Under "Select A Different Catalog" is a star with "How to Purchase"... click on this star.
- It will bring up a screen that says - have you been invited to a recent party. Put my name in there - Michelle Skillicorn (make sure you spell it correctly, or you get something REALLY odd!), then click "go"
- This will bring you back to the catalog and you can then begin selecting items.
It currently says my show closes on February 11th, but that's a type - it's actually February 24th, so LOTS of time to go shopping!
I *believe* you can have this order shipped directly to you. I'm not sure if they ship outside the US (*sorry*). Those of you in Canada that want to order and cannot, let me know, and I'm *certain* we can work something out.
In any event... HAPPY SHOPPING!!!!!!

...WINTER STORM WARNING NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL 10 PM CST THIS EVENING...
SNOW...MOSTLY LIGHT...WILL CONTINUE FALLING ACROSS NORTHEAST ILLINOIS THROUGH 8:00 PM. THE SNOW IS EXPECTED TO END ALTOGETHER ACROSS THE CHICAGO AREA AND NORTHWEST INDIANA BY 9:00 PM CST.
AN ADDITIONAL 1 TO 2 INCHES OF ACCUMULATION IS POSSIBLE BETWEEN 6 PM AND 9 PM THIS EVENING.
EVEN THOUGH THE SNOW FROM THIS STORM IS WINDING DOWN...NORTH WINDS GUSTING IN EXCESS OF 30 MPH WILL CAUSE CONSIDERABLE BLOWING AND DRIFTING SNOW. THEREFORE...THE WINTER STORM WARNING FOR NORTHEAST ILLINOIS HAS BEEN EXTENDED UNTIL 10 PM CST.
A WINTER STORM WARNING MEANS SIGNIFICANT AMOUNTS OF SNOW... SLEET... AND ICE ARE EXPECTED OR OCCURRING. STRONG WINDS ARE ALSO POSSIBLE. THIS WILL MAKE TRAVEL VERY HAZARDOUS OR IMPOSSIBLE.Yeah, and I was driving in it WITH a flat tire! Yup... didn't even know it. The snow plows can't keep up... one of the roads home was a "best guess"... I was like - I *think* the road is here. Luckily, there weren't ditches on that road, or else I'm *sure* I would have ended up in one. But I made it home. We'll see if the snow stops and the plows can get caught up tonight. If not, I'm SO not trying that again!
In honor of the Christmas-like weather AND my 10,000+ hits (didn't even know!), we will have a blog candy!!!!!!!!! For candy, I have an On Board Art Journal (NIP), 2 Soft Subtles Classic Stampin' Pads (NIP your choice), and some extra goodies... I've been cleaning, so there's a TON of goodies for the box, to include some alterable items. So what do you need to do??? Tell me your favorite/best snow or winter story (no, I won't hold it against you if you don't have snow... I haven't had any for a while, either). I will draw a name at random on Sunday at 6PM (CST).

Yesterday, I went to the Stampahowlics' gathering and had a BLAST! I made 70 swap cards, so stay tuned for what I made and what I got in return... I will try to photograph all of those this week and get them posted this weekend. HERE is the link to the samples we made there... we got to use the new bead duo, the new chunky glitter, and the Sale-A-Bration sets. Can't get enough of the Sale-A-Bration sets?? Check out THIS GALLERY for more samples made with these super cute sets!
For one of my swap cards, I used the new Fine Cosmo Glitter, so here are a few tips that I have to share when using this... First off, this glitter has a TON of static, so my tips are to counter-act that and keep your stampin' space a little less sparkley...
1. Put your glitter in an empty stampin' store box (what the stamps come in)... I used the large size (what the background stamps come in), so it is big enough to put an entire card front inside the box. CUT THE LID OFF THE BOX!!! Glenda Travelstead showed this tip at Convention this year; she was also selected to the Stampin' Up! Advisory Board this year (HUGE honor!). She was at the meeting yesterday, and if you don't know her, she is HILARIOUS!!! Anyway, back to tips...
2. Use the Tombo Mono Multi, Sticky Strip, the NEW Sticky Cut Letters, or Crystal Effects only. The 2-way glue pen is not strong enough to keep it in place.
3. To get rid of the little pieces of glitter that are hanging on to your project, put the project inside a gallon-sized plastic bag. Then, take the Color Spritzer Tool (with no marker attached) and blow air onto the project to get rid of those unwanted pieces.
I'm going to try to photograph my swap cards during half time and get them posted... I promised those I swapped with my recipe... Until then...
