Decor Elements Are HERE!!!

I'm so happy that Stampin' Up! has launched a new product line called Decor Elements. It's a BRAND NEW line of art for you wall. The first go of this product line is a rather small offering, but there are some GREAT designs. I'm having a hard time choosing which ones I'll be getting... So, without further ado, here is the online catalog for this new product line: Decor Elements. These items will not appear in an Idea Book and Catalog, at least not the new Fall/Winter one coming up in August. There will be MORE of these coming, AND there will more new offerings in the near future. We haven't been told what those are as of yet, but I'm SUPER excited about the Decor Elements, so I can't wait to see what's coming next too!! I will be ordering the Create definition for my stamp room, of course, and I'll post pictures once that comes in. Can't wait!!!! If you'd like to order any of these, just let me know. They're officially available to customers July 1st, but as a demonstrator, I can pre-order one of each... oh, why do they do that?!?! Don't they know I want them ALL??!! Well, I'm back to making hard decisions... Happy Shopping!

Photo Book

I got to play with my NEW Fresh Cuts stamp set again, as well as the Eastern Elegance rub-ons I'd be hoarding. This little photo book is my last creation for the May mini VSN. This is for the What Lurks Behind the Cover challenge, where you are supposed to use vellum to add to your card. Since the VSN is being touted as a Book Club, I knew right away what I wanted to do! Plus, I hadn't made anything with new pictures of the pups in a while, right?? To see close ups of all the pages of the album, click HERE.
The first photo is the cover of the mini album. I stamped the {NEW} Fresh Cuts main image in VersaMark and embossed it with White embossing powder. Just a word to the wise... be CAREFUL when embossing on vellum... it WILL burn! Keep your heat tool a little further away from the paper than you would with card stock. I punched a Soft Sky Prints DSP Boho Blossom {yup, new punch for me!}, made a hole in the center and in the vellum, then lined up a felt flower, and attached it all with an eyelet. I hadn't used eyelets in a while, so I thought this was my chance! I chose the word Joy from the Eastern Elegance rub-ons, and adhered that on to the front... super easy, huh??
Here are the items used throughout the whole project...
Stamp Set: Fresh Cuts
Ink: VersaMark
Paper: Chocolate Chip, Soft Sky Prints DSP, Pumpkin Pie, Vellum card stock
Accessories: Eastern Elegance Rub-Ons, Accents & Elements Flower Fusion, Antique Brass eyelet. Sticky Strip, White embossing powder
Punches: Boho Blossom, Round Tab
The book was made with 2 strips of 4 1/4" x 12" card stock scored every 4", then adhered with sticky strip to make the pocket.
Be sure to check out the rest of the pages HERE... the pups are OH SO CUTE!!!

First Go with Fresh Cuts

I was fighting a MONDO headache all last week, so when I got home, I would just veg on the couch. I finally stole away Thursday night to play with my NEW stamp set and paper. In case you aren't familiar, this set is a NEW SNEAK PEAK from Stampin' Up! This set, Fresh Cuts, will be in the new Fall/Winter Idea Book & Catalog. It arrived here Monday, but alas, I could not play until Thursday {poor poor me!}. The notes are laser cut, so the flower you see punched out comes that way! How cool is that?!?! I'm going to try to use those little pieces as leaves in another offering... Well, without further ado...
Stamp Set: Fresh Cuts
Ink: Soft Sky, Old Olive
Paper: Fresh Cuts Notes, Old Olive
Accessories: Pumpkin Pie striped grosgrain, Accents & Elements Flower Fusion, Fire Circle Rhinestone brad, Paper Piercing Tool (Crafter's Tool Kit)
Punches: 5-Petal Flower, Crop-a-Dile (for stay put bow)

Tip: The rhinestone brad is punched through the note card, then the Old Olive 5-Petal flower is adhered over the back, so the ends of the brad don't show. If you need a photo of this, just let me know... you know I'm ALWAYS happy to produce photos.
The 2nd card's flower cutout is another stamp from the Fresh Cuts stamp set.
Well, I'm off to breakfast... it's only 6am here... until next time

Clickabella's Shadow

I can't believe I'm up SO early this morning! Yesterday was Josh's BBQ bash, and it was a BLAST! I ate and ate and ate and ate some more. I can't believe I made a card this morning....
Here is another card for May's mini VSN. This one was to use your favorite poem as inspiration for a card. My all-time favorite poem is Robert Louis Stevenson's "My Shadow". I've loved it since I was a child, and I can recite every word to it. OF COURSE, I had to use THIS poem for my inspiration.
Stamp Sets: One of a Kind, Clickabella
Ink: Basic Gray, Jet Black StazOn
Paper: Creamy Caramel, Bravo Burgundy, Tempting Turquoise, Basic Gray, Whisper White {Wow - that's a LOT of colors, especially for so early in the am!!}
Accessories: Watercolor Wonder Crayons (Tempting Turquoise, Creamy Caramel, Bravo Burgundy, Really Rust), Me & My Big Ideas' Icons, Stampin' Dimensionals, Aqua Painter
Punches: Key Tag, Photo Corners
Card Size: 3" x 7"
Tomorrow I get a box of NEW GOODIES from Stampin' Up! CAN'T WAIT!!!!!!! It was supposed to have been here Thursday, but for some reason it's coming via Maryland... yes, it flew OVER me. This has happened before... does an Illinois zip code really look like a Maryland one??? Oh well, I will have happy surprises when I get home, including the NEW Fresh Cuts set & notes!!!!
