I am completely holding out, aren't I??? Well, here is what I made at stampin' time at Regionals...

And here is what I received for the 3D swap on the bus. Please note that NONE of these are my own works of art; they are made by some pretty fabulous stampers. If you'd like to know who made a particular item or the particulars of it, feel free to post a comment or drop me an email...

Double Pocket Birthday

Happy Birthday, Sandy!!!!! So, my friend Sandy in California had a birthday this past Saturday. The week prior, I learned this SUPER cool and VERY easy way to make a card at Regionals. If you're interested, this was also TLC 164 posted the Monday after Regionals.
This is made from just one sheet of 8 1/2 x 11 paper... you can't beat that! And since I wanted to pick up the colors of the Starbucks card (of course!), I used the timely color challenge, CC 163, to add the Certainly Celery to the mix. Not only did I forget to post this, I forgot to mail it until Friday... oh boo on me, because I made it first thing Sunday morning. It's just been SUPER crazy around here. And before I forget, a HUGE thank you to everyone who has wished me well on my job hunt. I have had quite a few interviews, so I count myself fortunate in this economy. Hopefully, one of them will pan out. Back to stampin'...
Stamp Sets: So Much (got at Regionals!), Hugs & Wishes, Short & Sweet
Ink: Chocolate Chip
Paper: Certainly Celery, Pretty in Pink, Berry Bliss DSP
Accessories: Ice Circle Rhinestone brads, Pop Dot, ScorPal
Punch: Round Tab

For those of you who need a few directions, here is the photo of the "map" that was given at Regionals...

I just got Adobe Photoshop Elements 6 and Adobe Premiere Elements 4, so I've been playing with those instead of stamping (*blush*)... there are just so few hours in a day! Stay tuned for the rest of my swaps from Regionals...

Last Set of Regionals 3x3s

Ok, before I get to the cards, I've GOTTA share my new shoes I got... I think they are TOO cute! They are made by naturalizer, too - can you believe it?!?! So what inspired me to get new shoes, especially ones with strappy back and peek-a-boo toes?? Taylor VanBruggen did it! Click the link to check out her new kicks.
Ok, now to the stampin' stuff...
As you recall, I had ONE more set of 3x3 cards for Regionals for the swap that I am hosting. Well, here they are...

They look familiar, you say??? Why, yes, they should look a bit similar, but WAIT - there is a TWIST! These are FAUX CRACKED GLASS. Faux, you say?? Well, Jen Bailey, a fellow Illinois resident (and super sweet gal!) did a presentation on how to get the cracked glass look sans freezer. I was like - oooohhh, cool! But then she did it AGAIN at the Stampahowlics gathering in November (?), and I was like - yeah, I saw this at convention it was REALLY cool. But have I done it until this past week?!?!?! NOOOOOO!!!!!! Bad me! But, here's to you, Jen - Faux Cracked Glass on my 3x3 cards.

Regionals 3D Swap

So, a while back, I posted part of the 3D swap I was taking with me to Milwaukee. Well, it's actually just for the bus, so they probably won't even make it over the state line, but anyway... Just to refresh your memory, here were the bookmarks:

For the whole swap, I put the bookmarks above in a cover and paired it with a decorated photo holder. Here are the ones made with Western Sky DSP...

I still have 2 sets of card fronts and one more set of 3x3's to make before next Saturday with a Cookie Lee open house this Sunday, as well. My parents are coming up this weekend... maybe I can get my mom to help out.

Today I Organized!!!!!

I had today off unexpectedly, so I hurried to IKEA to grab a *few* things to organize the disaster area we could call a stamp room. The only problem was - this weekend is VSN on SCS!! No idea what VSN is??? Click the link to get sucked into the fashion show!
In any event, I *HAD* to get the stamp room cleaned up, because the design deadline for the wedding invites was fast approaching. Oh don't worry - this is MY own deadline, nothing set in stone, of course! So, at 6:00 AM I started on my project... holy cow was that HARD work, and at 4:40 PM, I was in the shower to get ready for VSN, which kicked off at 5:00 PM... oh yes, I *will* be posting my creations... stay tuned.
But first, I MUST brag on my stamp room! The furniture, I already had... it was just a matter of putting it where it made sense (go figure, huh?). I put the folding table in the corner against the wall next to the bookcases, and put my Cricut and photo printer on there. I don't really use them all that often, but when I want to use them, I want them readily accessible. I thought this was the perfect place for both. There's still a bit of room in front of the Cricut to put my Stampin' Scrub while I'm stamping.
I hung the rails for the punches and the cork board, as well as the canvas panel that I had stamped like a million years ago. After that, I filled the punch rails, baskets, and cork board. It was a lot of fun, and I really thought about the organization of the punch rails... I grouped like stamps... all the circles, the squares, put the round tab punch with the spiral, and all the corner punches together.
I made an area in my closet shelf for my mini light studio... this works AWESOME there!!! I'm pretty proud of how this has turned out thus far... I still have a bit to go, but IT'S VSN... speaking of, I'd better get to the next item on the runway... stay tuned!
