It's Sale-A-Bration!!

Guess what?! It's Sale-A-Bration!!!!!!!!!!!! For those of you who are not familiar, that means FREE STAMPS (and rub-ons this time too!) for EVERY $50 in product. It's for a limited time only, though... only until March 17... click here for all the details and HERE for the mini catalog. This year, there is a HUGE recruiting BONUS... If you sign up to be a demonstrator from now until March 17, you will get any stamp set (up to $47.95) in the catalog for FREE. But that's not all... you also get your kit with over $350 in product for just $159. If you want to sign up, you can go to my Stampin' Up! Demonstrator Business Website to sign up online. This is a HUGE deal!!!

Yesterday, I went to the Stampahowlics' gathering and had a BLAST! I made 70 swap cards, so stay tuned for what I made and what I got in return... I will try to photograph all of those this week and get them posted this weekend. HERE is the link to the samples we made there... we got to use the new bead duo, the new chunky glitter, and the Sale-A-Bration sets. Can't get enough of the Sale-A-Bration sets?? Check out THIS GALLERY for more samples made with these super cute sets!

For one of my swap cards, I used the new Fine Cosmo Glitter, so here are a few tips that I have to share when using this... First off, this glitter has a TON of static, so my tips are to counter-act that and keep your stampin' space a little less sparkley...
1. Put your glitter in an empty stampin' store box (what the stamps come in)... I used the large size (what the background stamps come in), so it is big enough to put an entire card front inside the box. CUT THE LID OFF THE BOX!!! Glenda Travelstead showed this tip at Convention this year; she was also selected to the Stampin' Up! Advisory Board this year (HUGE honor!). She was at the meeting yesterday, and if you don't know her, she is HILARIOUS!!! Anyway, back to tips...
2. Use the Tombo Mono Multi, Sticky Strip, the NEW Sticky Cut Letters, or Crystal Effects only. The 2-way glue pen is not strong enough to keep it in place.
3. To get rid of the little pieces of glitter that are hanging on to your project, put the project inside a gallon-sized plastic bag. Then, take the Color Spritzer Tool (with no marker attached) and blow air onto the project to get rid of those unwanted pieces.

I'm going to try to photograph my swap cards during half time and get them posted... I promised those I swapped with my recipe... Until then...
