Getting Ready for Christmas

Linda's package was mailed today, but you don't get to see what's in it until she does. Since she's such a loyal reader of my blog, I didn't want to spoil the surprise by posting the picture. Remember - no one has yet guessed the 2nd part of the technique that I'll be hosting one week from today. There's still time to get your prize!
Today was spent getting everything ready for Christmas. Since most of our friends and family live out of state, most Christmas presents must be mailed. (Hanukkah gifts are already gone, since it was SO early this year!) The first photo I have for you is the hand-made gift tag that each present will have. I used silver gel pen to write the To/From on them.

Stamp Sets: Tags On Board (tag), Label Classics (to/from)
Ink: Silver Encore
Paper: Night of Navy
Accessories: Gold Star eyelets (unknown manufacturer - had these for YEARS), Crop-a-Dile (to set eyelets)

The next project is for my cousin and her daughter. I got them matching necklaces, so I wanted to make an origami box to put them in.

Stamp Sets: Circle of Friendship, Label Classics (to/from)
Ink: Rose Red, Silver Encore
Paper: Whisper White, Night of Navy, Certainly Celery Prints DSP, Rose Red Prints DSP
Accessories: Sherbet Ribbon Originals velvet ribbon, Silver Star eyelet
Punches: Designer Label, 1/2" Circle, Slot, Tag, Crop-a-Dile (to set eyelets)

This next project was for the Demonstrable Card Challenge # 28 called Time for Thanks. The challenge was to make a thank you card using the new Time Well Spent stamp set that we all got for free. I chose to make a 3x3 card, since they are super nice to have on hand for a quick thank you.Stamp Sets: Time Well Spent (butterflies), Fun & Fast Notes (sentiment)
Ink: Basic Gray (duh!), Tempting Turquoise Craft, Lovely Lilac Craft
Paper: Bashful Blue Textured (base), Whisper White Textured (butterflies)
Accessories: Dazzling Diamond + 2-way Glue Pen (on the spots of the butterflies... not sure if you can see it in this photo)
Markers: Basic Black, Barely Banana, Pretty in Pink, Lovely Lilac, Tempting Turquoise

The last project of the night is for the Bella Sketch Challenge # 6. This Bella was sent to me by my secret sis... did I tell you how much I *love* my secret sis?!?! In any event, I actually USED some of my Accents & Elements stickers. I think the world stopped spinning for a bit when I put them on the paper, but all is back to normal... I will go back to hoarding them.
Stamp: Bellabustah
Ink: Jet Black StazOn
Paper: Lovely Lilac, Mellow Moss, Whisper WHite
Accessories: Accents & Elements (one piece from 3 different tins!!), Prima flowers, Ice Circle Rhinestone brad, Regal Rose wide grosgrain ribbon

I also did the Try a New Technique challenge... it was to stamp tiles, which I had NEVER done before. They are SUPER easy! I made 2 sets - one for my dad and one for my fiance (well, me, since we live in the same house, huh?). The sealant on them is drying, so you will get to see them tomorrow. :)
