Sketch Challenge

Ok, so I finally did a sketch challenge on SCS. The sketch can be found here. This was my FIRST ever using the sketch, and it turned out ok... I think I picked a pretty hard idea to start with. The post said it was good for large images, but the Lovely As a Tree set is my ONLY large image. I knew I wanted to use the Palette O' Prints paper pack (new for May from SU!), because it was totally made for this layout. The large image was where I was struggling... I have a Javabellas stamp coming that would've been PERFECT, but it's not here, so I scoured the stamp sets looking for something big. I came across the set of trees. I have absolutely NO idea why I chose to stamp on a dryer sheet. Something just said - stamp it on the dryer sheet. I think I should've turned on the air conditioning (it's 80-degrees in here right now)... maybe then I wouldn't have heard voices. In any event, I did it (for the first time, as well). It was missing something, and so I reached for ribbon (not Primas this time - good girl!). I wanted to use the Sweet Spot ribbon originals, but I had given it away to someone, and I was like - grrrrr, but I had the gingham... it worked! I threaded the ribbon under the middle panel to make it feel special, I guess... no idea on that one, either. I'm TOTALLY liking the Palette O' Prints... so excited to do more with it... I'm going to go back to the older sketch challenges, so be on the lookout for some more (and hopefully better) sketch challenges... until next time...
