Fun with the Cricut! So, I absolutely LOVE my new Cricut. I made all kinds of boxes with the Tags, Boxes, Bags, and More (think that's the right title) cartridge. These little cuties are my absolute favorite of the cartridge. It's a little difficult to see exactly what it's going to make, but it comes out cut with little slits where it should be folded. It's a lot of fun to just push and button and see what comes out. This one here is called "flower box"... the name speaks for itself, huh? I have Hershey's nuggets inside for a door prize for my upcoming Scrap Gathering. I used the new Loves Me paper from Stampin' Up! (I'm a SU! demo in case you didn't catch that...)
I'm not really sure what to do with the slits in the side... I guess I could make it into a purse-like object... hmmm.... I guess I need to use my imagination, huh?

So, when fun with Cricut was over, it was on to candles... I'm am REALLY happy with how this one turned out. I'd never used my Weather or Not set. It was a hostess incentive last year, and it's just sat in my stamp vault since then. I saw these candles at IKEA, and knew right away which set I wanted to use for them. I used craft pads and then clear embossed them. I had to try it; I'd read everywhere that everyone was doing it, so I did, too. I made a few more for more door prizes at the Crop. One of them may become the door prize for an upcoming demonstrator event that I'm organizing.

Today, the invite went out for that event, as well as the Crop event. If you're in Northern California and want to attend this stamping event, send me an email. It's going to be January 21st. Well, I'm back to stamping...
